word “Bonsai” literally means “planted in a container”. They are grown in such
a way that they look their most beautiful and even prettier than those in the
wild.Therefore, it is a very decorative, artistic and creative hobby. The
purpose of this tree is to enjoy the beauty of its own terms. Bonsai is the art
or hobby that one develops by pruning or pinching the roots to produce a desire
shape or effect. It is a wonderful art of creating a miniature tree with full
dedication and patience. It can be kept miniature by combining several
techniques.
This art
originated in Chinese Empire over 2000 years ago. And about 1000 years ago, the
Japanese copied the art and adapted it to their local way of living. This art
was introduced in the west in late 19th century, it became
increasingly popular with time. The miniature size of the Bonsai makes it
stands apart from others and its various styles of trees make them so special.
There are many types of Bonsai. It gets it shape from upright, straight to twisted
and curled to even the windswept. This tree always needs its time, patience and
full attention. The most common styles of Bonsai include formal upright,
informal upright, slanting, semi cascade, cascade, literati and
group/forest.Less common forms include windswept, weeping, split-trunk and
driftwood styles. One Bonsai can have many styles.
